Is Rebel Internet compatible with care alarms?

Whether it needs a landline or not, your care alarm will work with Rebel Internet.

Yes. Rebel Internet offers a voice‑over‑IP (VoIP) phone service called Home Phone, which is compatible with most care alarms that require a phone line.

To use a care alarm with Rebel, you simply need:

  • Rebel Broadband, and
  • Our Home Phone service (which you can add during sign‑up or anytime through your Rebel Internet Customer Portal)

How to Connect Your Care Alarm

Connecting your care alarm is very simple:

  1. Unplug the cable currently connected to your traditional phone wall socket.
  2. Plug that same cable into the TEL port on the back of your Rebel Router.

That’s it — your care alarm will now use your Rebel Home Phone line.

Older Care Alarms

Some older or legacy care alarms may not support VoIP technology.
If your alarm is not compatible:

  • Your care alarm provider should contact you to replace your device with a VoIP‑compatible model.
  • If this hasn’t happened, simply reach out to your provider and request an upgrade.
