How do I connect to Rebel Wi-Fi on my Windows PC?

Some Microsoft PCs will ask for a PIN the first time you connect. Rebel does not use a PIN. Simply click "Connect using a security key instead".

In some instances, Microsoft Windows PCs may ask for a PIN from your router label when you try to connect to your Wi‑Fi. At Rebel, we don’t use a Wi‑Fi PIN — we use a Wi‑Fi password instead. Here’s how to connect quickly and easily.

When Windows Asks for a Router PIN

If you see a prompt asking for a “PIN” to join your network, don’t worry — just follow these steps:

  1. Under the entry box, click the link:
“Connect using a security key instead.”
  2. You will then be asked for your Wi‑Fi password, found on your Rebel router label or set by you during setup.
  3. Enter the password and you’ll connect as normal.

Special Characters in Microsoft Systems

Some Microsoft PCs may struggle with Wi‑Fi passwords that include special characters such as:

£, $, %, &, *

If you have set a custom Wi‑Fi password with special characters, and your device is refusing to connect, simply update your Wi‑Fi password to one without special characters.

(You can change your password at any time in your router settings.)

Why Rebel Doesn’t Use Wi‑Fi PINs

At Rebel, we let you choose your own Wi‑Fi password when you set up your network. This keeps things simple, secure, and eliminates the need for a WPS-style PIN that some devices still request.

If Windows asks for a PIN — just select “Connect using a security key instead” and enter your regular Wi‑Fi password.
