When Will I Receive My First Bill?
Your Billing Timeline Explained
At Rebel, we bill in advance to ensure you always receive the lowest prices and to confirm that your Direct Debit details are active and accurate.
Here’s exactly how your billing timeline works:
Your First Payment
Once you sign up and create your Direct Debit mandate, your first month of service is billed immediately.
This happens before:
- Your equipment is shipped, or
- Your broadband line is activated
This upfront payment secures your service at the lowest possible price and confirms your payment method is ready to go.
Your Second Payment
Your second bill will not be taken until one full month after your services are live.
This means most customers experience around 40 days (or more) between their first and second payment.
What If My Start Date Changes?
If your activation is delayed — for example, due to Openreach scheduling or engineering changes — don’t worry:
- We do not take your second payment
- We wait until your line is fully active
- We confirm you have devices connected before generating your next bill
We take our fair and transparent pricing principles very seriously. You will never be billed for a second month of service until your broadband is live and in use.
