With HomePass Guard, you can allow or deny specific websites or IP addresses in your security settings
HomePass Guard is a powerful security suite that protects your home network and your devices from unsafe websites, intrusive ads or inappropriate content for your family. While the system is designed to protect you from all known threats, you may need to allow one website that you know is safe for you or someone using your home network. Follow the steps below to allow a specific website or IP address within your HomePass Guard security
First, open your HomePass app and scroll down to the Guard section. Click on the Home icon located on the right hand-side of the section called "Total Guard Events"
You will reach the chart listing all the Guard events through time. Locate the three dots icon on the top right of your screen and click on it to open a contextual menu, then click on "View Approved List"
The new screen displayed lists all the websites and IP addresses you have previously approved. To add a new website or IP address, click on the "+" button on the top right of your screen. Here, we will approve a new website, but the procedure is the same if you want to approve a new IP address.
A new panel will open and will let you specify the website you wish to approve, and who should be impacted by this action. By default, an approved website or IP address is applicable to all devices and users within your network, but you can also specify a user from your list of users. If you do so, the website will only be accessible to this person and the devices assigned under them.
Don't forget to press "Add" on the top right of your screen once you are done for the change to take effet.
That's it! Your website or IP address is now approved and Guard will keep the rule active as part of its security protection.
You can also disapprove a website or an IP address. Instead of clicking on "View Approved List", select "View Blocked List" then click on the "+" button on the top right of your screen to add a new website or IP address to be blocked by Guard.
