When is my Start Date?
Your Start Date is important, as this is when you can start to enjoy the Rebel experience
Engineering Appointment (If You Need a New Line)
If a new line is required:
- You will choose an appointment date and an AM (8am-1pm) or PM (1pm-8pm) slot during sign‑up.
- You’ll need to be home, as Openreach will carry out work both inside and outside your property.
- Rebel will email you reminders and confirmations in the weeks and days leading up to your appointment.
Once the engineer completes the installation, your Rebel service will be activated.
Self‑Install Activation (If You Already Have an Openreach Line)
If you do not require an engineer:
- Any time after 5:00pm on your Start Date, you can connect your Rebel Router.
- Plug your router directly into the Openreach wall socket using the cables included in your Rebel package.
- Your service will activate automatically once connected.
Rebel Home Phone
Your Rebel Home Phone activates on the same day as your Broadband.
Once your broadband is live:
- Plug your home telephone into the voice port on the back of your Rebel Router.
- Your service will begin immediately.
Important Note About Appointment Changes
Sometimes Openreach may need to complete additional external work before activating your service. If this happens, your Engineering Appointment may need to be rescheduled.
If your appointment changes:
- We will notify you by email
- Your new appointment date and time will appear in your Customer Portal
- You can easily reschedule from there if needed
